Abby Binder makes life so miserable for her roommates at the Bristol Place Senior Living Facility that they change rooms when a bed becomes available. But not Marilyn Dunne, a relentlessly cheerful woman who grinds on Abby’s nerves! The women make a bet to determine whether Marilyn stays or goes. Which one in this “odd couple” will win?
Director Elaine Wallace is seeking the following:
3 Adult Males (ages: 20’s-40’s)
3 Adult Females (ages: 20’s – 80’s)
Character | Age Range | Description |
Abby | 50-80 | Brash woman living in an Assisted Care Home. Unhappy, difficult. |
Marilyn | 50-80 | Sweet, unaffected woman, happy with her lot in life. Also lives in Assisted Care Home. |
Scotty | 20-50 | Nurse in the Assisted Care Home. Caring, understanding, and wonderful to his patients. |
Benjamin/Lewis/Clown
| 20-40 | Plays three roles. Benjamin is the son of Abby who has not visited for many years; most important role. Others are small character roles. |
Colleen/Woman in White
| 20-35 | Plays two roles. Colleen is the daughter of Marilyn. Kind and understanding. Woman in White small character role. |
Derek/Zombie/Masked Man | 20-35 | Plays three roles. Derek is the husband of Colleen. He is also kind and understanding. Others are small character roles. |
