SPECIAL NOTES FOR AUDITIONERS:
Readings will be from the script. Sides (copies of the script pages) will be available at auditions.
All auditioners should be prepared to tell a story, lasting 30-45 seconds, about their favorite holiday tradition.
Please dress in comfortable clothing. There are no sign up slots. Please arrive at the beginning of the scheduled audition, 1 pm on Saturday, or 7 pm on Monday. It is not necessary to come to both audition dates.
The ages listed are the ages of the characters. The actor does not need to be the stated age, but should be able to portray a person of that age.
Please bring a resume and a headshot or a photo of yourself, if you have them. If you do not have a photo, we will request to take your photo at the audition, for the sole purpose of remembering every auditioner.
Please bring a completed audition form with you to auditions. You can find the link to the audition form below. We will have extra forms at auditions if you need to fill one out then.
The Director will schedule 2-3 rehearsals per week, Sunday – Wednesday, based on best cast availability on the following dates: Sept 28 – Nov 25. Not all cast will be called for all rehearsals in the beginning, as we work on individual scenes. Please be prepared to list your potential rehearsal conflicts on your audition form. Significant conflicts which arise after casting, may result in a role being rescinded.
Rehearsals will be 7:15 – 9:15 pm, on scheduled days, until mid-November.
** Rehearsals will be mandatory starting the week of Nov. 16. Rehearsals will likely run later as we near the opening of the show. The Director will make every effort to dismiss young actors as early as possible.
** There is no minimum age to audition, but ALL actors must demonstrate respectful conduct, which includes focused attention during rehearsals and performances, being able to remain quiet without electronics when not on stage, and respecting all members of the production crew, as well as the other actors. Parents are welcome to be present at all rehearsals, but only actors and crew members will be allowed backstage during rehearsals and performances.
**Please email VP_theatre@svptheatre.org with any questions.
** Please print and bring this completed audition form with you:
Audition forms will be available at the auditions, if necessary.
All potential rehearsal conflicts need to either be listed on your audition form or attached to the form.
The show runs Fridays & Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 2 PM.
Friday, December 5th – Sunday, December 21st
