CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
Character | Age Range | Description |
Zorah Bloch (F) | 40+ | Founding director of the Soapbox Playhouse. Extremely self-concerned. |
Sidney Carlton (M) | 50+ | Kind but somewhat addled. Dorothy’s husband. A founding member. |

Larry Vauxhall (M) | 50+ | Tough, intellectual, vain actor and founding member. |
Phil Hewlitt (M) | 40+ | Small, obsessive; usually plays the ineffectual character in any Soapbox production. A founding member. |
Walter E. Parsons | 30+ | Recently taken up acting again after a stint in the armed forces. Good natured but excitable. Walter should be portrayed by an actor of color. |

Betty Andrews | 40+ | An inspector for the National Endowment of the Arts. A forbidding appearance. |
Bart Frances | 12+ | A pleasant youth. Very few lines but portrays Peter in Christmas Carol and acts as an assistant stage manager. |
