A well-known society hostess and fanatic of mystery novels, obviously Miss Marple.  Think Miss Marple (Agatha Christie).

A doddering Roman Catholic priest and amateur detective. Think Father Brown (G. K. Chesterton).

Chandler Marlowe

A gruff, hard-boiled, wisecracking, hard-drinking American detective. Think Philip Marlowe (Raymond Chandler).
